Nona Louise Dedmon Wood

Nona Dedmon Wood, 75, of 2220 Fieldcrest Dr., Owensboro, died Friday, January 18, 2002 at her home. The Warren County native was retired from the Owensboro City Schools having taught at Newton-Parrish Elementary for 21 years. She had also taught school in Bowling Green and Lynchburg, VA for 30 years total teaching experience. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and loved to read and travel.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Walter Wood, Sr.; a son, Walter Wood, Jr. of Franklin, TN; a daughter, Suzi Brown of Owensboro; two grandchildren; and a brother, James Dedmon of Bowling Green.

Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Monday, Janaury 21, 2002 in the Christ Chapel, Owensboro Memorial Gardens with burial in the Field of Honor. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 1-5 P.M. on Sunday, January 20, 2002.
