Niko Nousiadis, 57, of Owensboro, died Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Ioannina, Greece to the late Christodoulos and Despina Dodoros Nousiadis. Niko was one of the most caring and loving individuals you could ever hope to meet. He was quick with a smile, a joke and a gift. Niko had great passion for all that he did, whether with his family or in his restaurant, his positive outlook was an inspiration to all that were honored to call him friend, mentor or dad. He enjoyed time spent at his second home, Niko's Italian Cuisine, where for 13 years his customers were treated like family, dining on wonderful food and surrounded by his happy spirit.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Lola Nousiadis; his sons, Christo Nousiadis and Spiro Nousiadis; sisters, Annie Athanasiou and Epi Giouri; father-in-law, Spiros Statiras; and sister-in-law, Betsy Benekou.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
