Nikki Montgomery, 68, of Owensboro, passed away May 31, 2016 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Born July 7, 1947 in Silver City, N.M. to the late Raymond and Elizabeth Johnson, Nikki graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northern Arizona State University and later, attended Jacksonville Theological Seminary where she earned a Master's Degree in Christian Education. She used those skills to teach throughout her life in the U.S. and Asia. She was a teacher in the school system, church, and as a missionary in Asia with her husband. Nikki was a member of River City Church of Owensboro.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Rand Montgomery; daughter, Halli Medrano and her husband, Fernando; son, Rand Coby Montgomery and his wife, Jessica; grandchildren, Reina Townson and her husband, Jonathan, Adrian Medrano, Schuyler Montgomery, Chandler Montgomery, and Morgan Montgomery; sister, Gwen Wilkie and her husband Robert; and brother, Ray "Hoot" Johnson.
A service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at River City Church in Owensboro. Burial will take place in Potter, NE. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
