Ney S. Hazelrigg

Ney S. "Buddy" Hazelrigg, 83, of Owensboro passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at the St Elizabeth Hospital, Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. Born in Ohio County on July 31, 1927, he was the son of the late Earl and Glyndean Chinn Hazelrigg; was retired from General Electric where he worked for 42 years; and was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Hazelrigg was Supervisor of Commercial Services at General Electric when he retired. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was member of VFW Post 696 and American Legion Post 9 where he had served as treasurer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Donald Hazelrigg and a sister, Eleanor Hazelrigg Potter.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Helen Louise Ryan Hazelrigg; a son, Mark Hazelrigg and his wife Kimberly Smith Hazelrigg of Ft. Thomas; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Hazelrigg of Owensboro; and grandchildren, Ryan Hazelrigg, Jennifer Hazelrigg and Rachel Hazelrigg all of Ft. Thomas.

Services are 12 noon Friday, January 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Darren Brandon officiating followed by entombment in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
