Nathaniel Wilson Lyons

January 31, 1919 — September 28, 2002

Nathaniel Wilson Lyons, 83, of 411 Tampa Dr., Owensboro died Saturday, September 28, 2002 at his home. The Daviess County native retired from Gordon Bracketts where he was a TV repairman for 21 years; was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; the Army of Mary; VFW; AMVETS; St Vincent DePaul; and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II serving in the 38th Fighter Squadron..

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice Mary Lyons; two sons, Edward Lyons of Hancock County and Kevin Lyons of Cumming, GA; two daughters, Rita Hall and Phyllis Martin both of Owensboro; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Laura Lee Martin of Philpot.

Funeral services are 1 P.M. Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M. on Monday and after 10 A.M. on Tuesday. Army of Mary prayers will be at 6 P.M. on Monday and Parrish prayers will be a 7 P.M.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice or St Vincent DePaul of Our Lady of Lourdes.
