Nathan "Nate" Mock, Sr., 77, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at his home. He was born on July 24, 1932 in Crofton, Ky. to the late Osby and Randa Sisk Mock. He was owner of Mock Home Inspections and Construction Co. He was a U. S. Army veteran during the Korean War time. He was a past member of the Breakfast Civitan Club, the Owensboro Realtors Association and their Board, and the Owensboro Homebuilders Association. Nate had an associate degree in Architecture, and enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and watching them at their ballgames. He also enjoyed traveling and working outdoors raising his flowers and plants. He was also preceded in death by a brother Norris Mock.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Linda Moore Mock, two daughters, Carol Grant and husband Kevin of Utica and Rita Dulin of Hopkinsville, a son, Stan Mock of Owensboro, nine grandchildren, Kendra Krause and husband T. J., Mallory Mock Miller, Richie Graves, Chris Graves, Heather Joiner and husband Eric, Stan Gipe and wife Caroline, Jake and Nicholas Grant, and Olivia Mock, six great grandchildren, Matthew and Thomas Krause, Cameron and Riley Miller, Britton Joiner, and Robert Colton Gipe, a brother, E. J. Mock and wife Mary of Nashville, TN, and a sister, Verla Back and husband Roy of Frankfort.
Services will be 12 Noon Friday, June 25 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 9:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
