Nannie Helen Whitford

Nannie Helen Whitford, 79, of 3362 Buckland Square, Owensboro, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born January 18, 1927, to the late George William and Cora Ellis Parker in Daviess County. Her life was centered around her faith in her Lord, having been a member of Yelvington Baptist Church and the North Lauderdale Baptist Church in Florida. She especially enjoyed being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Joseph Whitford, Sr., on February 16, 2003.

Survivors include her sons, Harry Joseph Whitford, Jr. and his wife, Marie, of Margate, FL, Thomas Anthony Whitford and his wife, Carol, of Maceo; four grandchildren, Harry Whitford, III, Cheryl Ann Newman, Frank Whitford and Ryan Whitford; three great-grandchildren, Victoria Allyson and Mia Elizabeth Whitford and Alexis Newman; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, at Glenn Funeral Home with visitation 1:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be Monday at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Yelvington Baptist Church, 9424 Hwy 662, Maceo, KY, 42355.
