Nannie Mae Millay Aull, 87, of Philpot, left this life on Friday morning, September 22, 2017 at her home surrounded by her husband and children. Nannie was born May 19, 1930, the fourth child and daughter of Joseph Benjamin "Bennie" and Anna Louise Payne Millay in the Pup Creek community of Knottsville. She helped her Dad as a small child and he nicknamed her "Bobbie" since she was the little boy that he had not yet had. She married Robert Eugene "Bob" Aull on June 30, 1951. Nannie worked at General Electric and MPD until retirement, enjoyed taking care of the home, cooking, working in the yard, and raising flowers. She was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church and after having moved from Knottsville to Philpot in 1983, she attended Mass at the St. Joseph Monastery in Whitesville.
Nannie was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Anna Mural Millay Johnson and Mary Magdalene Millay Knott, a brother, Robert Louis Millay, and many in-laws of the Aull family.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bob Aull.
Nannie was "Mama" to Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" Aull of Knottsville, Mildred Louise "Millie" Aull and Deborah Lynn "Debbie" Aull (fiancé Randy Henderson) both of Philpot. She was grandmother to Chad Robert Aull and Chastity Taylor Aull Berry, and great grandmother to Isabella Ruth "Bella" Aull, Tucker Gene Berry, Trenton Michael Berry, and, as of just a few days ago, William Ronald Aull. Also surviving is a sister, Blanche Catherine Millay Werne of Utica, several in-laws from the Aull Family, and several nieces and nephews .
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 26, at St. Williams Catholic Church with burial following in St. Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Monday with prayers at 6:00 P.M. and from 8:00-9:00 A.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
