Nancy Carolyn Rhodes

Mrs. Nancy Carolyn Rhodes, 66, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 20, 2006, at her home. She was born April 1, 1939, to the late Raymond OConnell and Mary Robert Hayden Boone in Owensboro. She was a member of the Immaculate Catholic Church, where she had been active in the Right of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program. She graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School in 1958 and retired from Brescia University in 2005.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bartlett Rhodes, in 1978 and a sister, Laurie Ann Pecha in 2005.

She is survived by her six children Donald Bart Rhodes, Jr. and his wife Mona, Matthew Rhodes and his wife Laura, Rollie Rhodes, III and his wife Christina, and Bernard Rhodes, all of Owensboro, her daughter Cara Clark and her husband Marc and their children Benjamin Rhodes and Rachel Elizabeth Clark, and Ronan Rhodes and his wife Marcia and their son Jordan Brent Rhodes, all of Newburgh, IN; brothers Gene, Michael and his wife Cindy, Joel and his wife Linda, all of Owensboro,and Julian and his wife Mari of Quincy, IL; her sisters Julia Marie Boone, Natalie Zambrano and her husband Alan, all of Owensboro, and Marilyn Lally and her husband Bernard of Indianapolis, IN; a brother-in-law, Rollie Rhodes and his wife Sammie of Tulsa, OK;and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2006, at Immaculate Catholic Church, officiated by Father Timothy Sweeney, with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home, with prayers, including a rosary, beginning at 7:00 PM on Sunday evening.
