Nancy Shelton Phelps

Nancy Shelton Phelps, 46, of 2313 Secretariat Drive, Owensboro, died Sunday, August 4, 2002 at her home. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 4, 1955 the daughter of Bill Shelton and Doris Morris Layton.

Mrs. Phelps worked at Auto Glass Service, attended Peoples Baptist Church and enjoyed boating, beauty pageants, the beach and spending time with her dog.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Kenny Phelps; a son, Shawn Phelps of Owensboro; a daughter, Shelley Phelps of Owensboro; a granddaughter; her father and stepmother, Bill and Pat Shelton of Haubstadt, IN; her mother and stepfather, Doris and Don Layton of Owensboro; two brothers, Roddie Shelton and Eddie Shelton, both of Owensboro; and a sister, Donna Grant of Evansville.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 07, 2002 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend David Cook, Reverend Jerry Rice and Reverend Benny Phelps. Burial will follow in Phelps Family Cemetery in Ohio County. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2002 and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
