Nancy J. Petty

Nancy J. Petty, 71, of Owensboro, Kentucky, died Sunday, August 14, 2011, at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church and had worked as an RN at Owensboro Medical Health System. Mrs. Petty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Petty and her mother, Mary Meredith Austin.

Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Lyons of Lexington and Venita Guevara of Owensboro; step daughter, Beverly Petty of New York; step son, Robert Kevin Petty of Rocky Mount, NC; grandchildren, Melissa Sosh, Joseph Sosh, Kymberlie Sosh, Reese Lyons, and Avery Lyons; great-grandchildren, Alaysia Sosh, Alexandria Floyd, and Adam Sosh.

Services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 12 p.m. on Thursday in the Render Family Cemetery in Logansport, KY.
