Nancy H. Mcfarland

Nancy H. McFarland, 65, of Owensboro, died Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was born June 28, 1944 to the late Paul and Sue Barnhill Hill in Daviess County. She was a member of Third Baptist Church, and a teacher at Tamarack Elementary for 30 years. She enjoyed UK sports, playing bridge and being with her grandchildren and her family.

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Emanuel "Butch" Allen in 2001.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Bob McFarland; her sons, Mark (Megan) McFarland of Versailles, Scott (Beth) McFarland of Owensboro, her daughter, Manda McFarland of Lexington; six grandchildren, Jay, Chandler, Avery, Emma, Mayes and Grayson McFarland; her sister, Suzanne "SuSu" Allen of Lexington; her niece, Krista (Marc) Cruse, a great nephew, Cameron Cruse, and a great-niece, Alyson Cruse.

Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, and after 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
