Nancy Lambert Jones, 90, of the Roosevelt House, Owensboro, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at the Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born March 17, 1915, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Ike and Frankie Graves Lambert. She was a homemaker and member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church. She was the unofficial greeter at the Roosevelt house and enjoyed eating at the Cracker Barrel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Jones; a brother, Houston Lambert, and five sisters, Katherine Lambert, Ruth Lambert, Mevel Chapel, Pierce Nash and Shirley Dodge.
She is survived by two sons, John (and Mary) Jones and Danny Jones both of Owensboro ; a daughter, Nancy (and Rick) Belcher of Owensboro; seven grandchildren, Kevin Gore, Kasey Mayer, Jaysen Jones, Becky Galloway, Polly Payne, John Jones, Jr., and Neely Belcher; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1 P.M. Saturday, June 4, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. on Friday and after 9 A.M. on Saturday.
