Nancy Mills Jones

Nancy Mills Jones, 58, of Owensboro passed away September 14, 2012 at her home of natural causes. She was born in Owensboro to the late Hugh C. and Pauline Yeckering Mills. Nancy worked at Owensboro Mercy Hospital and for Toshiba while living in Nashville. She was very creative and enjoyed crafting, quilting, making family calendars, and made candles in memory of all her loved ones. Nancy was a woman of great faith, a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church she spent many hours volunteering at the church and at Mount Saint Joseph. Nancy loved her children and her five grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jim Payne.

Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie Jones, Stacie Kerney (Brent), and Susan Chandler all of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Austin, Samantha, and Lillian Kerney and Hannah and Cameron Chandler; sisters, Sue Payne, Linda Ballard (Wayne) and Sister Pam Mueller all of Owensboro; step-mother, Margaret O'Bryan Mills of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be private in the cemetery of Mount Saint Joseph, in Maple Mount, Kentucky.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Nancy Jones Memorial Fund.
