Nancy Roberts Henning

March 2, 1925 — January 31, 2014

Nancy Roberts Henning, 88, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away on Friday, Janauary 31, 2014 at her home. She was born in Maceo, Kentucky to the late A.F. "Fonce" and Harriett "Hallie" Roberts.

Nancy was a graduate of Daviess County High School and Owensboro Business College. Prior to marriage she served as a secretary at Railway Express and Texas Gas.

She was a loving and dedicated homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Nancy enjoyed playing the piano, gardening and reading. She was also an animal lover. Nancy used her sewing skills to make clothing for her children in the early years. She loved her community and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Nancy was preceded in death by a sister, Inez "Tippie" Chambers and three brothers, Millard "Bob" Roberts, Allan Kelly Roberts and Phillip Douglas Roberts.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Thomas L. Henning; daughters, Carma Hogue (Destin) of Waldorf, Maryland and Nancy Hogan of Chesterfield, Missouri; step-son, Phillip Henning (Judy) of Lexington, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 5 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Todd Johnson will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Tuesday and after 1 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
