Nancy J. Ebelhar

Nancy Ebelhar, 72, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mrs. Ebelhar was born June 26, 1944 in Waterloo, Iowa to Don and Jean Wannemaker Kelly. Nancy was a kind and sharing soul. Before being prevented by medical reasons, Nancy found much enjoyment on the golf course. She started working in the home mortgage business with Cardinal Federal and after many years, retired from US Bank Home Mortgage in 2004. After watching a documentary on the potential extinction of whooping cranes, Nancy joined Operation Migration and became an avid "craniac". She traveled many miles with her husband watching and caring for whooping cranes.

Mrs. Ebelhar was preceded in death by her two brothers, Mike Stitchman and Mark Kelly; her sister, Lynn Coen.

Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Hayden Ebelhar of Owensboro; parents, Don and Jean Kelly of Cedar Falls, Iowa; brothers, Kirk Kelly and wife Annette and Scott Kelly and wife Diane; sisters-in-law, Rose Ebelhar and Lela Wright and husband Elmo; brothers-in-law, Donnie Ebelhar, Harold and wife Joyce, Mark Ebelhar and wife Tammy, Pat Ebelhar and wife Mary; numerous nieces and nephews.

The service will be noon Friday, February 3 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Bro. Jerry Carter officiating. Entombment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation also will be Friday from 10:00 am till noon.
