Nancy Evadean Combs

Dean Wright Combs, 91, of 1252 Castlewood Place, Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. She was born in Morganfield, Ky. to the late Robert Louis and Pearlie Mae Corbett Wright. She retired after 29 years as an Assistant Director with Cabinet for Human Resources having worked in the Social Services Dept. and for the Program Development Branch. She was a member of First Christian Church, the Family Y, Kentucky Public Retirees, Business and Professional Women's Club, the National Association of Retired Persons, and was a Ky. Colonel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Combs on October 28, 2007.



Surviving are three children, Charles Shepherd "Chip" Combs II and his wife Polly of Freeport, Bahamas, Judy Anne Combs Teague and her husband Fred of Columbus, In., and Robert Dilce "Bob" Combs and his wife Lorraine of Owensboro, six grandchildren, Charles Shepherd Combs III, David Hardin Combs, William Shane Teague, Suzanne Teague Tansel, Krista Combs Thompson, and Kelly Combs Hunt,

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 5, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
