Nadja Dashkiewicz

Nadja Dashkiewicz, 71, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. She was born March 10, 1946 in Dortmund, Germany to the late John and Alexandra Kaminski. Nadja was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed traveling including her trips to Europe. She had done some Russian translating and was fluent in seven different languages. Her sons were the loves of her life and also her dog, Tzar.

Nadja was also preceded in death by her husband, Demetri Dashkiewicz in 1986, her companion, Clarence Leo Head, and a sister, Helena Kaminski.

Surviving are her sons, Michael Dashkiewicz and wife Jessica of Owensboro and Demetri John "D. J." Dashkiewicz of Los Angeles, CA, and a sister, Lydia Williams and husband Alan of Wales, United Kingdom.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 14, in the Chapel of Resurrection Cemetery with burial there following the service. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 11:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
