Myrvin D. Crowe, 85, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. He was born February 12, 1923 in Hancock Co., Ky. to the late Samuel Dudley and Mittie Boling Crowe.
Myrvin served his country in the Army Air Corp. He retired as a machinist from General Electric Co. after 43 years of service. He was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 16 years. He enjoyed gardening, watching U.K. basketball games, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Fanny Paris Crowe, a daughter, Brenda Holman and husband Gary of Jeffersonville, IN, a son, Tony Crowe and wife Paula of Owensboro, two grandsons, Kevin Holman and wife Hannah of Wilmington, MA and Brian Holman of Phoenix, AZ, two step grandchildren, Missi Istre and husband Bryan of Florence, KY and Paul Ralph and wife Amy of Mt. Washington, KY, seven great grandchildren, a sister, Arnora Cain and husband Johnny of Philpot, KY, a brother, J. C. Crowe of Hardinsburg, KY, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 12 Noon Monday, Dec. 8, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday and after 10:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
