Murna McClure Taylor, 85, of Owensboro (formerly of Hardinsburg) passed away Thursday, June 14, 2007 at her home. Born October 26, 1921 in Bardstown, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ellen Sisco McClure; a homemaker, and member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, reading, and playing bunco and bridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Taylor in 1987 and sisters, Laura Noble Welch, Mary Elizabeth Fisher, Ann George and Charlene Goodlett.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by daughters, Mary Ellen (and Charles) Lamar and Jacqueline (and Gene) Howard of Owensboro; sons, Vincent L.(and Debi) Taylor of Hartselle, AL and John M. (and Elizabeth) Taylor of Owensboro; and grandchildren, Charles L. ( and Tosha) Lamar III, Michael T. (and Onalee) Lamar, and Wesley M. Taylor.
Services are 9:30 A.M. Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home with Kevin Brimner officiating. Burial will be in Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort, KY at 3:00 P.M. (EST) Thursday. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday and after 8:30 A.M. on Thursday.
