Monroe Edward Frashure

December 15, 1928 — September 13, 2003

Monroe Jack Edward Frashure, 79, of 2500 Carter Road, Owensboro, died on Saturday, September 13, 2003 at his home. Mr. Frashure was a backhoe operator for 3 other plumbing businesses before retiring from Ernie Davis Plumbing. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed puzzle books, the TV show The Price is Right and attending church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Mary Ellen Frashure; one son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Sheila Frashure of Livermore; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie Wilson of Owensboro and Carla and Jewel Mathis of Owensboro; a foster son, Marvin Ferguson of Owensboro; four brother, Ray Frashure of Calhoun, Vernon Frashure of Panther, Homer Frashure of Livermore, and Elbert Frashure of Panther; two sisters, Viola Arnold of Rumsey and Wanda Wells of Utica; seven grandchildren, Charlotte Jones, Sue Troutman, Jeremy Frashure, Terry Mathis, Charlene Brown, Kris Greenwell and Bryan Wilson; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at Nickel Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is from 10a.m.until 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
