An ambitious and willing mind, tiny toes, and a smile that was contagious, Miya Rudd, whose spirit departed this earth was a beacon of hope. Though her time with us was brief, the impact she made during her fleeting moments will forever be cherished.
Born in Owensboro on October 12, 2023 at 5:37 a.m., Miya was a bundle of sunshine from the very start. She had the ability to spread happiness to everyone she saw, with a smile that could light up even the hardest of days.
Miya, lovingly called Smiley by those closest to her, had a special bond with her brother who could always bring out the most infectious laughter and smile from her. Her siblings held a special place in her heart, and their love for Miya was pure and sweet. Miya loved belly time and was just beginning to master the ability to sit up on her own. Although not yet crawling, she was determined to try everything she could to become a big girl like her sisters.
Although Miya's journey on this earth was short-lived, she leaves behind the memories of untouchable love and warmth that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Miya is survived by a host of family and friends that treasured her.
The sadness of Miya's untimely departure, can be coupled with the joy that she's resting in the arms of Jesus for eternity. The smile she left us allows everyone to remember the joy she brought into our lives and the love she radiated so effortlessly will be a love we can return to with a smile when remembering who she was. She's resting peacefully, in a place with unfathomable joy, watching over us with that same angelic smile that captured our hearts from the very beginning.
A Service of Remembrance will be Thursday, July 25th at 6:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Community Church where visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Ending the evening with candlelight, we are reminded that together, we come as one body in a desire to remain close to God, reflecting on Him, and as a community, that Miya’s light still shines.
Care by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. For those unable to join us in person, we invite you to watch the service online by visiting Miya’s obituary page at www.glenncares.com.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of diapers, wipes, toys, clothes and other essentials for her siblings, who are ages 1 (girl), 2 (boy), and 7 (girl). There will be designated areas at the church during the visitation and memorial service. Outside of those hours, you may leave things with any one of our staff at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and we will coordinate with the family so they can receive the items.
