Miriam Joyce Muncy

Joyce Main Muncy, 84, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at her home. She was born October 23, 1932 in Owensboro to the late Ralph P. and Pinkie Moore Main. Joyce was a homemaker and also had worked and retired from the General Electric Co. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church since 1954 and loved her Lord. She also loved cooking, animals, the holidays, and spending time with her family. Also waiting for her to join them in heaven are her sister, Doris Main Hancock Colbert and her brother, Ralph Edward Main, Sr.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wade Hampton Muncy, Jr., her son, Vincent Muncy of Owensboro, her granddaughters, Esta Rose and husband Dillon of Owensboro and Michelle Schwartz and husband John of Philpot, her great grandchildren, Ember Jane Rose and Blake Schwartz, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 13, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
