Minnie Ruth Keiningham

July 20, 1928 — October 6, 2012

Minnie Ruth (Smith) Keiningham, 84, of Owensboro, passed away on October 6, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Owensboro to the late James L. and Edna Lee (Vowels) Smith.

Minnie Ruth retired from Sears after more than 30 years of employment. While there she served as a division manager of the coffee shop, women's apparel and other departments. She was a past member of Central Presbyterian Church. Minnie Ruth was an avid reader of her Bible, other religious material and mysteries. She was a big U.K. fan, enjoyed socializing with neighbors and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters, Becky Evans (Jett) of Utica and Lee Ann Ward (Carey) of Paducah; sons, Gene L. "Lucky" Ferrell (Sharron) of Philpot and John S. Ferrell (Cindy) of Owensboro; grandchildren, Kelly O'Bryan (Randy) of Owensboro, Tammy Cundiff of Owensboro, Jeff Ferrell (Jodi) of Newburgh, IN, Ryan Ferrell (Alese) of Owensboro, Lauren Wolfe (Eric) of Lexington, Mark Tichenor of Owensboro, Ben Evans of Lexington, Zac and Whitney Ferrell, both of Owensboro, Travis Gillette of McLean County and Zedic and Keegan Gillette of Paducah; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 8 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday after 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
