Minnie Cooper Horn

December 23, 1910 — February 19, 2003

Minnie Cooper Horn, 92, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Daviess County, Kentucky on December 23, 1910 the daughter of John and Henrietta Yancy Cooper. Her husband, Charles Hillary Horn, preceded her in death in 1982. An infant son also preceded her in death in 1935.

She was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. She was a volunteer grandmother and worked with the senior companion program with Audubon Area Community Service for 18 years.

Survivors include three sons, Herschel Horn and John W. Horn, both of Philpot and Joseph Horn of Owensboro; three daughters, Jean Marie Pfister of Walbridge, OH, Henrietta Boswell of Toledo, OH and Martha Holland of Bowling Green, KY; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Eugene Horn. Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2003 and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home.
