Milton D. Gough, 82, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2009 with his family at his side. He was born on January 13, 1926 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Ernest Joseph and Mildred Crisp Turner Gough. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II having served in the South Pacific. He was retired from General Electric Co. as a tool and die maker and was a member of the Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church and an Elder. He was a 50 year member of the Ensor Masonic Lodge #729 and was an excellent craftsman of many trades.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Ruth Welsh Gough, a son, Rev. Dr. Ernest Eugene Gough and wife Linda of Nashville, TN, two daughters, Carolyn Gough Webb and husband Larry of Mooresville, N. C., and Marilyn Gough McMillan and husband Mike of Xenia, OH, six grandchildren, Brian Webb of Lincolnton, N. C., Julie Webb Pohlman of Mooresville, Brent Ridgway of Powell, OH, Jennifer McCracken of Marysville, OH, Chris Gough of Louisville, and Heather Gough Berkley of Bowling Green, Ky., seven great grandchildren, and a sister, Mildred Harreld of Valparaiso, IN.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Noon Thursday, January 8, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
