Mildred Mae Richeson

Mildred Mae Millie Richeson, 89, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2006, at her home. She was born in Daviess Co., to the late Edward & Gracie Farmer Payne. She was a homemaker and a member of Sorgho Baptist Church where she attended the T. E. L. Sunday School Class. She was a loving & caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She enriched everyones lives that she touched. She enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, and reading her bible. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Richeson in Nov. 1983, a son, Bill Richeson in Dec. 1989, a granddaughter, Stacy Richeson in Dec. 1966, and a great grandson, Brandon Mason in Nov. 2005.

Surviving is her husband of 67 years, Robert E. Shorty Richeson, three daughters and their husbands, Carolyn & Alan Higdon, Patsy & Challen Mason, and Shelia & Bill Castlen, all of Owensboro, two sons and their wives, Jerry & Charlotte Richeson of Owensboro and Larry & Bernice Richeson of Utica, 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and a sister, Cecilia Schartung of Owensboro.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 24, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
