b. October 6, 1923

Mildred Harley Morris, 84, of 909 Charles Scott Dr., Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Harborside Healthcare. She was born in Tell City, In. on October 6, 1923 to the late Wavie E. and Virgie Ray Harley. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and had worked at Green River Tobacco Co. and the St. Pius Day Care. She also loved spending time with her family, going dancing, and playing bingo. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth and Ray Harley, a grandson. Wesley Morris, and a great grandson, Jacob Murphy.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marvin Morris, 10 children , Evelyn Stacik (Sonny), Mary Jo Westerfield (Carl), and Betty Murphy (Gary), all of Owensboro Virgie Evans (Melvyn) of Jasper, In., Nancy Clark (Dennis) of Maceo, J. E. Morris (Alice) of Paducah, James Morris (Bonnie) of Owensboro, David Morris (Peggy) of Whitesville, Charlie Morris (Donna) of Maceo, and Bobby Morris (Karen) of Masonville, 33 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 9, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
