Mildred "Milli" J. Kaufman, 73, of Owensboro passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 23, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Kenneth Richard Kaufman in 1984; a son, Mitchell Kaufman; and her parents, Willard Mighell and Irene Zarcore.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was most proud of her family and enjoyed and cherished family gatherings. She was also a sports enthusiast and loved cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats. She attended church at Pleasant Valley Community Church.
Survivors include four children: daughters, Tammy Marksberry (David) and Lisa Knott (Donnie), both of Owensboro; sons, Brian Kaufman (Karen) of Winnsboro, Louisiana and Michael Kaufman (Debra) of Bedford, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Lynsey Rea (Wes), Taylor Hoffer, Andrea Logsdon (Nathan), Cameron Kaufman, Kyle Kaufman, Raegan Kaufman, Nicholas Kaufman, Kendra Knott and Matthew Knott; great grandchildren, Katy Rea and Price Rae; her sister, Carolyn "Sue" Wolf; a brother, Dallas Mighell; two brother-in-laws, Gary Musgrave (Sherri) and Ron Musgrave (Emily); and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Monday, at Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park East, 10612 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana with Minister Nathan Logsdon officiating. Burial will follow at Washington East Cemetery in Indianapolis. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M. (E.S.T.)
