Mildred P. Howard

Mildred Pauline Howard, 84, of Owensboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Lucy Smith King Hospice Care Center in Henderson. Previously, she resided at Colonial Terrace in Sebree, where she was loved by many. Mildred was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing cards, going to bingo, garage sales, and attending church. She had a big heart and loved everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Frances (Cecil) Wathen, a sister, Myrtle Hagan, brothers, Bill, Bobby, Charlie, and Jimmy Wathen.
Surviving are her children, Bonnie Howard, and Greg (Dana) Howard of Owensboro, and Tonya Howard (David) Sutton of Sebree, grandchildren, Jeremy English, Ben Howard, Jenny Howard, Will Layson, Shelby Layson, Riley Sutton, a sister, Mary Helen Borie of Kissimee, FL., five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
