Mildred Bidwell Glenn

Mildred Bidwell Glenn, 90, of Owensboro died Friday night February 11, 2011 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Mildred retired as Office Manager from Field Packing Company after 40 years of service. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and the Mary Lou Phillips Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. Glenn; her father, former Owensboro Police Chief Vernie Bidwell and her mother, Mrs. Essye Jones Bidwell.

Mrs. Glenn is survived by two children, Joseph G. Glenn II (Barbara Sines) and Marilyn (Bobby) Lowe, both of Owensboro. Also surviving are grandchildren, Richard (Beck) Glenn of Owensboro, Sarah Glenn (Fred) Combs of Portland, TN, Tim Lowe of Owensboro, and Kevin (Amy) Lowe of Owensboro; a sister, Margaret Cecil Mercer of Owensboro; eight great-grandchildren; and Carolyn H. Glenn.

Services are 12 noon Monday, February 14, 2011 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday and after 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
