Mildred W. Clark

Mildred Wedding Clark, 96, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday February 1, 2010, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on October 1, 1913 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Jim and Alberta Howard Wedding. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral and retired from the General Electric Co. in 1975. She enjoyed playing cards with friends at the Elizabeth Munday Senior Center, watching U. K. basketball, crocheting, working puzzles, and spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren. She also had helped in the Soup Kitchen at the church for a number of years. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles A. "Red" Clark on Dec. 12, 1996, her brothers and sisters, Joseph Wedding, Ruby Westerfield, Agnes Wedding (Sister Mary Christine), Clementine Ward, and Frances Williams, and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Alex Clark.

Surviving are three daughters, Susan Hein of Naples, FL, Sandra Mehlbauer and husband Tony of Owensboro, and Janice "Monie" Janes and husband Joe of Owensboro, two sons, Charles "Cotton" Clark and wife Sandra and Jim Clark and wife Sherry, all of Owensboro, grandchildren, Jay Tipmore, Keith Tipmore, Larry Clark, Steve Clark, Nicky Clark, Johnny Clark, Brian Clark, Jimbo Clark, Karen Greathouse, Jill Blandford, Tony Mehlbauer, Jessica Mehlbauer, Lauren Mehlbauer, Lindsey Abel, Meredith Hein, and Abbey Hein, 27 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Services will be at 12:05 P.M. Thursday at St. Stephen Cathedral with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be 7:30 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
