Mildred Cannon

Mildred Cannon, 93, of Owensboro, passed away February 27, 2026. She was born in Rector, AR on May 2, 1932, to the late Jewell and Essie Glasgow Gordon. Mildred taught in the public schools for thirty-seven years in Kennett, MO and enjoyed gardening. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. Cannon, Sr.

Mildred is survived by her sons, Dr. Harold C. Cannon, Jr. of Owensboro and Howard Cannon of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, Toni Cannon Young (Tyler) of Lexington, Hunter Cannon (Christina Fahey) of St. Louis, MO, and Piper Cannon Tippin (Tom) of Nashville, TN and great-granddaughter, Adalynn Young of Lexington.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel at Owensboro Memorial Gardens, Saturday, March 7, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. Until 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory in Owensboro, KY.
