Mikel Ray McDaniel

Mikel Ray McDaniel, 60, of Lewisport, passed away on Thursday December 28, 2023 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  He was born April 18, 1963 in Daviess County to the late Wilbert O. and Maxine Ray McDaniel.  Mikel had worked on a riverboat, enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, and was a 1982 graduate of Apollo High School..  He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Ivory McDaniel.

Surviving are three sisters, Gay Nell (Wayne) Estes of Lewisport, Mary Jane Beavers of Owensboro, and Nancy Ann (Daniel) Shelton of Owensboro; three brothers, William (Donna) McDaniel, Sr. of Maceo, Gary Lynn (Mable) McDaniel of Lewisport, and Virgil McDaniel of Maceo; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mikel will be 2 PM Saturday, January 6, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.  Burial will follow in Yelvington Cemetery in Daviess County.  Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
