Micky G. Howard

Micky G. Howard, 58, of Gastonia, NC, formerly of Owensboro, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 in a fatal car wreck. He was born in Daviess County to the late Oswald and Lucille Sipes Howard, and had worked as a control room operator for Duke Energy. Micky was a loyal fan of the Carolina Panthers, and enjoyed NASCAR and cold beer. He was a family man, who enjoyed time spent with his friends but his world revolved around his most precious grandchildren. Micky was also preceded in death by his brother, Rex Howard.

Survivors include his daughter, Mindi G. Mills and her husband, Rodney, of Philpot; son, Jarad Howard and his girlfriend, Samantha, of Hartford; grandsons, Jayden and Isaac Mills; granddaughter, Taylor Mills; sister, Janet Unsel (Charlie); twin brother, Ricky Howard (Sandy); brother, Tony Howard (Michele); several nieces and nephews and a great niece and a great nephew.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
