Michael Wayne Underwood

Michael Wayne Underwood, 55, of Drakesboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born February 14, 1969 in Decatur, Illinois to the late George and Linda Stinson Underwood. Michael was a senior maintenance technician having worked on industrial appliances. He will always be remembered for working on anything with a motor and his dedication to coming up with a solution. He also enjoyed welding and fabricating things, and rebuilding and repairing many different things. 

 He married his wife of 36 years Cynthia (Haugerud) Underwood on July 30, 1988 and together they shared a life full of love and joy. He was also the proud father to Tyler “T.J.” Underwood (fiancé Kara) of Central City and Jessica Blome (Alex) of Bowling Green, and grandfather to Lincoln, Jace, and Brooklyn Blome, Gatlin Underwood, and Conner Kelly.

 A Celebration of Life will take place January 9th and 10th with close family, at their home in Drakesboro. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
