Michael Wayne Taucher

Michael Wayne Taucher, 66, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday September 20, 2023 at his home.  He was born November 22, 1956 in Muhlenberg County to the late Vernon and Betty Marie Martin Taucher.  Michael was retired as a mechanic and service manager for several  automotive dealerships.  He enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to music, and singing, watching football and basketball, and spending time with his family.  He also enjoyed playing pool and fishing and loved his dog Maggie very much.

Michael was also preceded in death by his stepfather, James Hunt, his sister, Tammy Smith, and his brother Gary Taucher.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Ella Mae Taucher; his son, Michael James Taucher of Owensboro; his grandson, Jacob Michael Taucher of Louisville; his stepchildren, Kent Benson and wife Barb of Philpot, Pansy Benson and Tammy Benson, both of Owensboro; and nieces and nephews, Adam, Leah, and Teresa Taucher, and Ashley Smith.

Services will be 2 PM Tuesday, September 26, in the Chapel at Owensboro Memorial Gardens with burial following.
