Michael Rohrer

Michael Rohrer, 65, of Philpot, passed away September 25, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Logan County on January 13, 1948 to Walter Rohrer and Neva Dockins Rohrer. Michael was retired from Aleris Industries and Green River Steel Corporation. He was a member of Old Panther Creek Baptist Church in Ohio County. Michael enjoyed gardening, painting, writing and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Rebecca.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Kaye Rohrer; daughters, Michelle (Mark) Vance of Floyds Knobs, IN., and Heather (Pat) Hoover of Philpot; grandchildren, Noah, Daniel, Michael and Allison; mother, Neva Rohrer; brothers, Eddie, Steve and Alex all of Owensboro; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Noon Saturday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory with Bros. Craig Bratcher and Gerald Peeples presiding. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Philpot.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
