Michael Louis "Mike" Jarboe

Michael Louis “Mike” Jarboe, 68, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.   He was born September 29, 1955 in Daviess County to the late Charles Henry and Elsie Lauretta Meyer Jarboe.   Mike was retired from the City of Owensboro as a supervisor with the sanitation department.  He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed road trips with the family.  He loved telling jokes and making people laugh being a kid at heart, was an avid Nascar fan, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed listening to the older country music.   Mike was most proud of his family and being a husband, father, and grandfather.  He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, who were his whole world.  Mike was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Maggie Knight and Katherine Conkright.

 Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Linda; three daughters, Amberly Keach and husband Steve of Caseyville, Illinois, Robin Ebelhar and husband Brad of Owensboro and Shara Roberts and husband Jeff of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Mason and Avelyn Keach and Jace and Gatlin Roberts; six brothers, David (Barbara) Jarboe of Beaver Dam, Larry (Gerry) Jarboe of Utica, Johnny (Peggy) Jarboe of Wildemar, California, Jimmy Jarboe of Owensboro, Billy (Cheryl) Jarboe of Utica, and Charlie (Sheila) Jarboe of Utica; two sisters, Dorothy (Steve) Storm of Hartford and Theresia (Joell) Hartley of Andalusia, Alabama; a brother-in-law, Timmy Conkright of Owensboro, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, March 1, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 PM until 7 PM Thursday and from Noon until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
