Michael Alan Hancock

Michael Alan Hancock, 52 of Henderson, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Community Methodist Hospital in Henderson. Michael was a licensed insurance adjuster for Progressive Insurance Conpany, and a member of Owensboro Christian Church, where he was a past deacon. He had worked at ALCOA and previously was general manager for Ridley Automotive in Henderson. He was a member of Jerusalem Lodge # 104 F&A.M. in Henderson, was an avid Colts fan, and a self-proclaimed rescue squad swimmer. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Hancock in 1995 as well as his father, William Hancock.

Surviving is his wife of 31 years; Theresa "Teri" Hancock; son, Ethan Hancock, and daughter; Rachel Hancock, all of Henderson, mother; Mary Hancock and grandmother; Margaret Hancock Coin, both of Calhoun, a sister; Lesa (William) Huehls of Owensboro, his mother and father-in-law; Bill and Paula Stone of Masonville, nieces and nephews; Billy Davis, Jared and Jeremy Huehls, Brennen Brasher, Katie and Mary Stone, brothers and sister-in-law; Bill and Mark Stone, and Lynn Brasher, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Troy Dock and Myke Templeton officiating with burial following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Monday. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Shriner's Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky.
