Michael Thomas "Mike" Foster, 48, of 1740 Booth Avenue, Owensboro, went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2008. He was born in Owensboro on April 26, 1960. He was a member of Blessed Mother Parish and was a master electrician for Foster Electric for 35 years. He loved listening to music with his children and going to NASCAR races with his son. He was an avid fan of KWC and U.K. basketball. He will be truly missed by his wife, kids and family.
A brother John Foster preceded him in death in 1972.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Stacy Edge Foster, his children, Jessie and John Foster, his parents Tom and Janice Foster of Owensboro, sisters, Kathy and David Patton of Colorado, Leslie and Kevin Williams of Chicago, Karen and Steve Smith of Calhoun, and a brother Mark Foster of Owensboro, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2008 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with Fr. John Meredith and Fr. Freddie Byrd officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday with prayers at 7 p.m., and also after 8:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Blessed Mother Catholic Church.
