Michael Dale "Mike" Pearl

Michael Dale “Mike” Pearl, 78, of Owensboro, passed away August 23, 2025. Born on February 21, 1947, in Daviess County, Mike lived a life defined by dedication, strength, and love. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and fought bravely in the Vietnam War. His time in service shaped the man he became; resilient, loyal, and deeply committed to loving and providing for others, along with faith in God.

Mike worked hard in construction and was one of the skilled individuals who helped build the Owensboro Mall. With skilled hands and a strong work ethic, he took pride in creating lasting work, but more importantly, he built a foundation of love and stability for his family. The company moved to Alabama and Mike moved with them and continued his career in construction until he returned home to work with the road department at Yager Materials until his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing and riding around in his golf cart. Mike had a big heart and a generous spirit. He never met a stranger and would take the time to talk with anyone, making each person feel valued and heard. His warmth and kindness left an impression wherever he went.

His greatest joy, however, was found not in his career, but in the people he loved most. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Mike treasured every moment spent with his family and friends. He especially adored his grandchildren, sharing countless stories, lessons, and laughs with them. Whether he was cheering them on, passing down wisdom, or simply enjoying their company, he found his truest happiness in those moments.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Anna Payne Pearl; son, Robby Nall; brother, Joseph Pearl and sister, Vicky Harley.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Joyce Pearl; daughter, Kim (Eugene) Willis; granddaughters, Savannah Nall (Michael Kellems) and Kayla Nall (Hayden Schweikardt); great-grandson, Lawson Nall; great-granddaughter, Indie Kayte Schweikardt; brother, Dan Pearl; several nieces, nephews and cousins; caregiver, Jeanette Mackey and a very special neighbor and friend, Merry Wilborn.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
