Michael Owens Coomes

Michael Owens Coomes, 51, of 2708 Chatham Lane, Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. and was a member of Owensboro Christian Church. He was the owner & operator of ProGem., Inc. He received his Bachelor?s degree in Mathematics & Computer Science from Kentucky Wesleyan College and his Master?s degree from Murray State University. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Coomes on May 28, 2004 and his brother, Scott Anthony Coomes on Dec. 24, 1979.

Surviving is his wife of 27 years, Patricia Hay Coomes, a daughter and her husband, Amy & Shane Pate of Owensboro, and a son, Adam Anthony Coomes of Owensboro, a grandson, Bryce Cameron Pate, his mother, Mary Lou Coomes of Owensboro, three brothers, Patrick Coomes of California, Russell Coomes of Colorado Springs, Co., and Richard Coomes II of Owensboro, and two sisters, Melody Alford and Joy Coomes, both of Nashville, Tn., and 14 neices & nephews, and 7 great neices & nephews.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 13, at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
