Michael Dean Chambers, 57, of Owensboro passed away on Saturday, June 08, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 16, 1955 in Camp LeJeune to the late James and Ruby Chambers.
Michael served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam Conflict. He was previously employed at Modern Welding. He was a member of Wing Avenue Baptist Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and volunteering at the Baptist center.
Surviving are his wife, Darlene Chambers of Owensboro; his son, James Chambers of Owensboro; his step daughter, Lisa Simmons ( Michael) of Cloverport, KY; his two stepsons, James Rearden ( Alisa) and Jason Rearden both of Cloverport; his brother, Terry Chambers; his sister, Debbie Chambers. He is also survived by his step grandchildren Austin and Dylan Simmons.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1PM at Wing Avenue Baptist Church (628 Wing Ave, Owensboro, KY 42303) with Brother Anthony Cobb officiating services. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Wing Avenue Baptist Church from 10AM until the time of service on Tuesday.
