Mexie Jane Shelton Boling

Mexie Jane Shelton Boling, 58, of Reynolds Station, passed away on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at her home. She born on March 13, 1952 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Woodrow and Sophia Muncy Shelton. She had worked as a registered nurse for 20 years and was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She enjoyed making crafts and going with her husband, Billy, to flea markets and selling their crafts. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Waltrip in November of 2004.

Surviving are her husband of 22 years, Billy Boling, two sons, Darrell Jewell of Louisville and David Cotton and wife Sherry of Owensboro, a stepson Dean Boling of Colorado Springs, CO, a stepdaughter, Haley Hutchinson of Owensboro, grandchildren including Lee, Nathaniel, Patrick, Randall, and Trenton Waltrip, all of Reynolds Station, Abigail and Forrest Jewell, both of Owensboro, Kayley and Darrell Jewell, Jr., both of Louisville, Alison McIntyre of Ohio Co., Leighangel Cotton of Owensboro, Ryan Willis of Hopkinsville, Christa Hutchinson of Owensboro, Christian Boling of Colorado Springs, and a sister, Ardth Shelton Moseley and husband James of Nashville, TN.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 31, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Philpot. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
