Merlene Gregary Hall

Merlene Gregory Hall, 87, passed away, May 25, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on March 8, 1927 in Ohara, KY, to the late Leslie and Janie Gregory. Merlene retired from GE after nearly 40 years of service. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards. Merlene was one who was compassionate and loved her family dearly. Whether it was attending a family bar-b-que, taking the kids to Trail Away Park when they were younger, or going to the races with her late husband, Robert, family was what she enjoyed the most.

Merlene was also preceded in death by her sister, Tony Eirwin, and a step-brother James T. Jones.

Survivors include two sons, Robert E. (Bonnie) Hall, Gary C. (Linda) Hall; daughters, Kathy (Larry) Johnson, Sharon (William) Farrar, Brenda (Larry) Emmick), Dianne (Thomas) Harley; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, and her best friend and roommate, Violet Velotta.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Scott Ford officiating. Visitation will be 2:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
