Maynard "Steve" Stephen Brandle, 68, of Owensboro, passed away March 26, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born July 3, 1949 to the late Kenneth and Virginia Rice Brandle. Steve served in the Army during Vietnam and retired from the military after 22 years of service as a logistics manager. He enjoyed fishing, going on cruises, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with his family. Steve also enjoyed watching Hogan's Heroes, and James Bond movies.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Brandle and his wife Julie.
He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Gay Butler Brandle; son, Chris (Angie) Brandle; daughter, Jessie Martin; grandchildren, Zachary (Kelsey), Austin, and Cameron Brandle, Kenzie and Brodie Martin, and Dakota, Katelyn, and Sara Odom; Brother, Michael Brandle ( Joline); sisters, Sharon (Burke) Burkette and Susan Brandle Newton; sister-in-law, Kay (Bob) English and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2PM Friday, March 30, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 3PM to 7PM Thursday and after 12 on Friday the funeral home. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens with full military detail.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Children's Advocacy Center in Henderson or the American Heart Association.
