Mayme Lee Jackson, 70, of 3378 W. Ridgewood Drive, Rockport, died Sunday, February 10,2002 at her home.
The Maceo, KY native had worked for S.W. Andersons and was retired from Bacons. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, had been a member of the Dar-Nek Auxiliary and the Owensboro Ladies Civitan Club. She enjoyed antiques, travel, needlework, and gardening.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Glenn Jackson, a daughter, Sherri Wilson of Owensboro, three sons; Jeff Jackson of Owensboro, David Jackson of Indianapolis, and Tom Jackson of Versailles, KY, two brothers; James Sampley of Sorgho and Kenneth Sampley of Colorado Springs, CO, a sister, Jean Reynolds of Covina, California, and two grandchildren.
Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. Visitation is from 1 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may take the form of contributions to Settle Memorial United Methodist Church or
the Spencer County Hospice.
