Mayme Stewart Bartlett Harpe

Mayme Stewart Bartlett Harpe, passed away June 1, 2015 at Wellington Parc. She was born December 29, 1922 in Daviess County, to the late Claude V. and Ora Stewart. She was actively involved with Bellevue Baptist Church where she was a member from 1968. Mayme also served as a secretary at GE for 41 years. She also enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family.

Mayme was preceded in death by her first husband Gleason Bartlett who passed away in 1946 and her second husband, Edward Harpe, who passed away in 1977; a son, Douglas W. Bartlett that passed away in 1989, and several brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Leah Bartlett Hagan (Barry) and Lara Bartlett Morse (Billy); great grandchildren, Shaina Petersen (Rick), Kaylee Lature (Steve), B.J. Morse, Bria Morse, and Bo Morse; and great-great grandchildren Shiloh, SarahMae, Conner, Brody, and Knox; one sister, Clara Cruger, along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 4-7:00 p.m. Thursday, and 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday, at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Bellevue Baptist Church.
