Maxine Hudnall Boucher

May 18, 1926 — March 9, 2010

Maxine H. Boucher, 83, of Utica, KY, and resident of Dogwood Estates in Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010. She was a 1944 graduate of Butler County High School, and recently celebrated her 66th class reunion with classmates. She was employed at General Electric for 42 years. Upon her retirement in 1986, Maxine devoted her time to loving and caring for her family and her two wonderful grandchildren, volunteering at Owensboro Mercy Health Services, and serving as an emissary for Reach for Recovery. She also became actively involved in Relay for Life after surviving breast cancer in 1990. Additionally, Maxine was an active member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where she served as Clerk for 29 years. She was also a Kentucky Colonel.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Temp and Ollie Hudnall and her brothers, Thomas and Anthony Bert Hudnall. Her beloved husband of 57 years, Howard, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son Darrell Boucher and his wife Debra of Thibodaux, LA; daughters, Sharon Powell of Beaver Dam and Dana King of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Allison Powell O'Neal of Richmond and Max King of Newburgh; and nieces, Sue H. Grise of Morgantown and Jerlene Lewis of Russellville.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. There will be no visitation on Sunday. Burial will be private at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.

At the request of Maxine and her family, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center in Owensboro.
